Let’s be honest — plastic bottles are everywhere. That bottle of water you grabbed this morning, the milk carton in your fridge, the snack wrapper in your bag. It’s convenient, sure. But here’s the thing: Singapore alone generates hundreds of thousands of tonnes of plastic waste every year, and only a small fraction actually gets recycled.
So what can you actually do about it?
You don’t need to overhaul your entire lifestyle overnight. Small swaps add up:
- Choose recyclable packaging where you can. Look out for our recyclable pack badges when you shop — we flag them so you don’t have to guess.
- Buy in bulk instead of single-use. A 1L bottle uses less plastic per litre than four 250ml bottles. Simple math, real impact.
- Reuse before you recycle. That glass jar from your pasta sauce? Great for storing leftovers or dry goods.
- Support brands that are trying. Some of our partners, including Greenfields, are actively working on more sustainable packaging — every purchase is a small vote for that direction.
We’re not perfect, and we’re not pretending to be. But we’d rather be upfront about the plastic problem than ignore it. As we grow, you’ll see us flagging more eco-conscious options across our range — not as a marketing gimmick, but because it actually matters.
Small steps. Real difference. That’s the goal.
